An approach to reduce child laborer
No matter many parents have realized the importance of
education, but still we can see “chotoos” around us. The main reason for this
is poverty.
How can we motivate people to send “chottos” to school?
One of the possible ways is to provide a small stipend,
better than what their children get paid.
Children are creative; no matter they are from rich or poor
family.
Put a dot on a board and ask them for answer?
We will get different answers from them.
But from a grown up individuals, the answer is
"dot" which is unanimous.
if we could promote
and sell the various creative arts, such as painting, embroider,
sculptures, accessories designing, tattoo stickers etc. which are being made by
the children during their art sections we can make money out of it and the
government can pay it as a stipend to the “chootos”.
The product can be as simple as a designer kerchief
targeting young girls or a designer T-Shirts targeting young men of the buyers
market segment and these crafts can also be exported to other countries which
will earn more money.
We have to spread this message to youngsters in colleges and
schools, even a one rupee contribution from them in buying a kerchief will make
a big difference in child’s life. This can be spread through some cultural
events in the campus or through short films which they could watch through
social sites and you tube.
In this way “chootos” will gain skill set which they can use
it in future, an education during the first half of their school and also a
stipend which helps to run their family.
If you feel the message is good and worth sharing please
share the message with others and spread it across Share it through article, short film, radio or through any program.

Not a sin - Poem
criticized by father for whom he was,
isolated by mother, while fighting with her fate,
isolated by friends, for not following their living standard,
the child communicated with art and lived in fission world,
its not a sin to be reserved,
every person has a reason for his personality.
don't criticize them, if can't have an empathy!

Modern Sita
Modern Sita
Chapter-1
Introduction to Sita:
It was late in the night, people were celebrating diwali, and
the roads were covered with the mist of sulphur. My wife was pregnant and she
started feeling the pain, I took her to the hospital, it was raining heavily,
the traffic was less, there was a power cut, we reached the hospital by 12:00
AM. Doctor said that they need to do the operation, they took the signature
from me, I was worried about my wife, than my child.
Finally the doctor came at 4:00 AM, and told, both are safe.
I ran to see my new family member. She was fair, with her
eyes tightly closed, she looked like young fairy wrapped in white cloth. I
touched her soft fingers; she was in deep pain and struggling to breathe after entering
the new world, she grasped my finger and didn’t let it go. This is none other
than my daughter Sita.
I took sita and my wife to home, my parents and relatives
were waiting to see her. My princess was afraid to see the crowd but we managed
to pacify her.
People were calling me as sinner to be a girl’s father! But
I didn’t care, for me sita is my second
mother! God created man for some reason, so is women, if both are present human
race will survive, think of a world without woman,
Agreed no ego problem, but problem can exist only if life
exists!
Chapter-2
Sita’s First Lesson
Sita turned 1, she started talking. She calls “mova….”,
“paghu….” she recognizes me well, she crawls and comes to me like thunder light!
She observes my action and repeats whatever I do. Once she noticed me having
cigarette, while doing the office work, she took a cigar from my box and kept
on her mouth.
After that day I quitted smoking, there are other ways to
release our tension; for e.g. listening to music gives relaxation.
It was sept 1987; I was reading the news paper, now she
started walking with her tender legs, she was looking at me as a usual kid
does, I didn’t pay much attention intentionally. Suddenly she fell down, my
wife took her on to her lap and pacified her, my sita was questioning me why
“paghu” didn’t care! I was able to read it through her eyes!
She started falling down, everyday I stopped my wife to
pacify her, suddenly sita behaved differently, she repeated exactly what my
wife use to do!, she rubbed her head and legs, wiped her tears and then started
moving on her tender legs.
Children’s are best learners, they adapt to the world around
them quickly. They take up things as it comes without analyzing! If I or my
wife would have pacified her every time, she would look for us every time; my
sita learnt her first lesson of life.
We start our life with tears and leave the tears in others
while leaving this world, why to waste the precious tears, use them as a medium
to release your emotions in front of people with whom you are comfortable and
who knows its value!
Chapter -3
Other’s Perception of
Sita
There was a strike in
my company, people were loosing job, i too lost mine, everyday I returned home
without job, but whenever I see my sita’s innocent smile, I get the confidence that some is there for me;
who still believes in me!
My relatives asked to visit an astrologer; I don’t believe
in such things, but went to him on my wife’s compulsion. He put the blame on
Sita, he told “She is ill luck for you!” as she born on an inauspicious time!
I am a firm believer on mathematics of hard work and not on
the luck; Time is just a measurement, on revolution of earth and not the
evaluation of a person’s life!
I ignored his words and returned home. But my wife was
disturbed.
My wife asked me, could that be true?, as she was a strong
believer on astrology!
I asked her do you believe in lord Krishna.
She said yes! Just think sita as Krishna.
Did his parents hate him? For their ill fortune?
It is better to convey things to people through their
belief, rather than scientific approach. As it will fail most of the times.
After a month, life became normal, till now I haven’t faced any problems with
respect to job.
If any problem occurs in our life, it is because of our
actions or the perceptions of ours or perception of what we have created
ourselves on others, and not because of any one’s horoscope!
Chapter-5
Sita Going to School
Years passed, sita turned 5. It is time to put her on
school. People gave a lot of suggestions, but I chose an average school, everyone
criticized me that I am a miser.
Sita went to school, with her big bag like a military man,
now she doesn’t looks for me, she got into her school van and told me bye just
for courtesy!
For me knowledge comes from experience of life and
observation and not from the books. No one can be forced to learn, they will
learn if they want. As a parent we should direct them to the correct path,
along with the confidence of moving forward.
I was not good in English; I cleared my paper in my last
attempt only!, most of the times I heard that “I don’t deserve to study in a
English school”, I had a tough time with English, I hated it because of others,
soon I realized that mistake was not with English, it is with the teachers who
doesn’t understand the psychology of a child. No point having bunches of degree
when you are not able to deliver the education to every child of the class.
I don’t want to give my child the same education. We started
watching English channels, whenever sita was at home. But we did teach her, our
native language. There is no point in reading a English book to a child who
doesn’t want to read or hear, rather we can do what they like, show them a
foreign language movie with subtitle.
In this way they grasp things quickly. This is what I did to
sita during her childhood. Now she is able to speak English fluently.
No point in putting child in a factory called school, who
could just deliver same product with different barcode without any creativity.
Education can be learnt from Google or school, but not the
creativity and confidence of facing world!
Chapter -6
Sita Listening to
bedtime stories
After school hours she used to come to me and asks for
stories, Sita is not an ordinary child, and she doesn’t stops asking questions!
Until she is satisfied!
Once my wife was saying the epics to her,
She told about the blue god her favorite, and how he fought
for his wife.
When my wife completed the narration, sita blasted her with
questions.
She asked “do we follow the same pattern of marriage as the
blue god.”
My wife told, “yes dear!”
“Yesterday we went for uncle’s marriage, did the aunty also
paid wealth for her husband as they did for the blue god?”
My wife told, “Yes dear!” it is the tradition!
“But I didn’t see the uncle breaking the bow for marring her!
Why is that so?”
“You told the blue god suspected his devi, but why devi
didn’t suspect him, he was also away from her in the mean time?”
“So we follow epics partially?”
Many times we get enlighten by children in some way, but it
is difficult to accept the facts.
I realized that epics are just the collections of various
characters, an guide for our life what to do and what not to do, how to correct
and prevent the mistakes, that is why the epics are depicted by god in human
characters, and to convey that good men
are not correct always.
But as a human or god we can correct our mistakes. When “dropati”
was insulted, lord Krishna protected her as a brother, just to depict that men
should have this character, you need not have blood relation to have a sister
and not that Krishna will come to protect his
sisters in 21st century! And his friendship with “kuselan” shows how
simple person one should be in spite of ones power and status.
Character “Arjuna” being as hermaphrodite in Padma Purana also
shows that every gender are equal in this world. The couple should share the
good and bad time just like “kanthari”.
Just a thought of killing a deer lead to Ramayana, life is
same no matter it is deer or human, and the character of hanuman shows god
exists in animals and don’t hurt them they love you back and helps you when you
protect them.
But most of the time we just take the character which we
want from the epic. There is no mistake with the epic; it is how we interpret
it.
Chapter-7
Sita at toy shop
We took sita to toy shop, got her educational toys along
with other toys. We used to spend lot of time while selecting the toys.
Most of the time Medias influences a child’s mind especially
children’s whose source of entertainment are televisions. Children’s mind are
like canvas, being painted by medias people around them and the toys with which
they play. The girls usually like teddy bears because their appearance is soft,
and that is why we see them more affectionate to pets. But advertisements and
toys with bad dress can affect their mind, for girls they loose their
confidence and they believe that they will be saved by some heroes and they should
dress like a “Barbie doll” and boys believe that “woman” are use and throw toys
and they depend on them in every day life. What would happen if we give a
“Jhansi Rani” doll to a girl and make her to watch a cartoon based on her life!
No matter educations has given confidence to the woman, but building’s strength
comes from the foundation not on what is being built on foundations.
I used to show her the movie which revolves on a woman’s
strong character, it is better to describe a woman as a lioness rather than a
flower or a bird. This builds the child’s confidence right from the childhood.
Chapter-8
Sita as a teenager
Time has passed, now my sita is into college, my sita is
different from others, she improved her skills by just watching good content
from life,
she is a self learner like “Arjuna”,
She differs from other girls, she doesn’t wear the stuffs
which other girl wears, and she goes out boldly at night time!
Once she saved a girl from a guy, in spite of saving, she
made that boy to realize his mistake by doing the same to that guy along with her
gang.
Its time to do her marriage, the groom accepted everything,
but they wanted her to be house wife, my sita refused to do so,
She just told “papa we also did our education and job with
so much of effort, as a guy did, why should we always sacrifice our carrier, we
shall do it when we feel it is required, we give importance to our carrier as
we feel insecure, while marring a person and not to showoff!
Can’t we have even this right?”
Once again I lost to my daughter sita! I couldn’t reply, I
just put my hand on her head and smiled.
Now I am not worried about Sita, She is a brave and
affectionate girl who listens to my stories even today.
Hope every child becomes like my sita!

Young Professor - Short Story
Introduction
Chapter-1
I am Padmini, friends call me padhu. Today I am joining as a
junior professor, with lot of dreams; hope my young friends support me in this
journey.
There was so much criticism from my parents when I chose my
line of subject, but I convinced them with lot of effort, I am sure that I will
make them proud one day!. There is no point in doing things, for which we don’t
have a passion, may be we’ll get a higher package with such choice, not the
happiness. At times we have to choose a carrier for the sake of personal
issues, but we can pursue our passion if we have a will, as a hobby.
Padmini’s ideas
Chapter-2
It’s been 3 months after I joined the college, I wanted to
promote innovation among my friends, they can learn the subject from the book
at last minute of exam but innovation comes with thinking, a long process which
requires persistence hard work and good observation power. To promote
innovation to others good networking and communication skills are required.
I encourage my friends to submit different kinds of projects
apart from the routine ones.
I believe in innovations rather than marks, its people like Steve
jobs and Bill gates are being remembered and not the people who topped their
class.
The country’s growth depends on innovation it is the hardest
truth not being realized.
People have to realize it and stop our precious young minds
being drained from India.
I don’t want to be one among the people who says “Rich
becomes richer, poor becomes poor” or one who shares “Happy Independence Day”
in social sites, I am worried about my country’s future. One side young brains
are drained and other side we are being controlled by foreign investors. No
doubt foreign companies have improved our income. But still we are depending on
other counties.
I feel it is time to act, we need to promote innovation
among our self and in next generations.
Padmini’s Approach to child laborer
Chapter-3
One of the reasons why I choose this profession is to spread
my ideas to my friends.
No matter many
parents have realized the importance of education, but still we can see
“chotoos” around us. The main reason for this is poverty.
How can we motivate people to send “chottos” to school?

I have been trying to spread this message, but couldn’t
succeed by being a low profile individual. Now I have decided to use my young
friends. I have shared this message to them. I believe in “Message from a youth
to a youth”.
My friends has been sharing this message through cultural
events organized by colleges / schools being attended by various special
guests, and through other medias such as short films ,news papers, college/school
articles and radio shows.
This is just a fission reaction which I have triggered in youngster,
“an attempt to marshal future India”
Hope my friends give me support!
